RAND = Research AND Development, and is a nonprofit "think tank" that helps improve U.S. policy and decision-making. The site includes publications in the areas of environment, energy, international policy, national security, transportation, and science and technology, and more. Many RAND reports are indexed in DTIC and available as "AD" numbered reports or as cataloged items in the library.

A database of 40,000 citations to manufacturing and related areas. A website maintained by the American Association for the Advancement of Science that features fulltext of current and archival Science magazine articles. Also has a Multimedia Center that has weekly audiocasts and video on stories featured in Science and its online companion sites, images and slideshows, and ability to set up email alert and RSS feeds.

Registered access only - Prepaid Registered users can search citations to the chemistry literature, with links to full-text articles. Users can also search chemical substances or formulas, and CAS (Chemical Abstracts) Registry Numbers. SPIE Digital Library (International Society for Optical Engineering)
SPIE covers nearly everything associated with optics and photonics technologies. The site contains the full-text of the Proceedings of the SPIE and all four SPIE journals covering biomedical optics, electronic imaging, microlithography, microfabrication, and microsystems, and optical engineering. For AFRL/SN there are papers on sensors, MEMs or target recognition; for AFRL/HE, papers on humans or displays; and for ML, papers on materials or composites.
SPIN (Searchable Physics Information Notices)
One can search over 80 physics journals, including Applied Physics Letters, Journal of Applied Physics, Journal of Materials Research, Journal of the Optical Society of America, Journal of Vacuum Science, Physical Review, Physics of Fluids, Semiconductors, Technical Physics, etc. Select "Search SPIN database." One can then link to any of our subscription journals.
