Advanced Materials & Processes Technology (AMMTIAC)
AMPTIAC's primary role is to collect and provide data and information about advanced materials and processes. It covers five functional areas: Ceramics and Ceramic Matrix Composites; Electronic, Optical, and Photonic Materials; Environmental Protection and Special Function Materials; Metals, Alloys, and Metal Matrix Composites; and Organic Structural Materials and Organic Matrix Composites. *IACs are DoD sponsored but charge for some services.
Advanced Polymers Abstracts
Captures technical information about the uses, manufacturing, and properties of thermoset and thermoplastic resins - materials that compete heavily with metals for structural applications.
Aluminum Industry Abstracts
Covers the world's technical literature on aluminum, production processes, products, applications, and business developments.
Cambridge Scientific Abstracts
The library subscribes to several CSA databases that provide access to major areas of research, including aerospace and materials science. Most are detailed elsewhere on this page. The most important are: Aerospace & High Technology Database; Ceramic Abstracts / World Ceramics Abstracts; Engineered Materials Abstracts; and METADEX (Metals Abstracts).

THE leading index on physics, electrical engineering, electronics, communications, control engineering, computing and information technology, as well as manufacturing and production engineering. Check with the Library for passwords to the $$ version.
Institute of Physics (IOP)
IOP is a leading international society established to promote the advancement and dissemination of physics. It publishes important journals such as: Journal of Physics (A-G); Combustion Theory and Modelling; Journal of Micromechanics and Microengineering; Journal of Optics (A&B); Nanotechnology; Semiconductor Science and Technology; and Smart Materials and Structures. We have full-text links to all IOP journals*, including coverage back to 1874!
JANNAF
- (Joint Army-Navy-NASA-Air Force) Some JANNAF Interagency Propulsion Committee reports are available from DTIC. Our library and Reports Vault owns some reports, and many are available from DTIC. *IACs are DoD sponsored but charge for some services. Over 5,100 public domain technical papers presented at Joint Army-Navy-NASA-Air Force conferences since 1974. These public papers cover combustion science, propulsion system safety and hazards, environmental protection, toxicology, materials technology, nondestructive evaluation, and energetic materials research. Materials Research Society (MRS) Symposia
An index to over 6,000 MRS papers. The library owns hundreds of their symposiums. You can search our catalog for them by simply entering the volume number.

Science Direct
It is one of "the world's largest collection of science, technology and medicine full text and bibliographic information," and the library connects you to millions of scholarly articles available from 1995+. Includes all journals published by Elsevier, Academic Press, Pergamon, North-Holland and others.
Scitation
We have access to most of the journals published by the American Institute of Physics; American Physical Society; Acoustical Society of America; American Society of Mechanical Engineers; American Vacuum Society; International Centre for Diffraction Data; Laser Institute of America; and MAIK (the Russian Academy of Sciences). Many older issues are in the Library.
