Institute of Physics (IOP)
IOP is a leading international society established to promote the advancement and dissemination of physics. It publishes important journals such as: Journal of Physics (A-G); Combustion Theory and Modelling; Journal of Micromechanics and Microengineering; Journal of Optics (A&B); Nanotechnology; Semiconductor Science and Technology; and Smart Materials and Structures. We have full-text links to all IOP journals*, including coverage back to 1874!

International Critical Tables of Numerical Data, Physics, Chemistry and Technology
This Knovel interactive database is a classic, and was originally published for the National Research Council. It contains an enormous amount of critical data on inorganic and organic compounds and pure substances. The original (1,000 page) index is hyperlinked to each entry. Also SEE Knovel Critical Tables.

Knovel Critical Tables
Knovel interactive reference that contains tables of physical, solvent, and thermodynamic properties. The physical property tables include over 21,000 inorganic and organic compounds, and pure substances. The solvent property tables have data for 385 common solvents, and the thermodynamic property tables have data for over 15,000 compounds. Many tables allow use of an interactive Equation Plotter to plot thermodynamic properties as a function of temperature. Also of interest International Critical Tables of Numerical Data, Physics, Chemistry and Technology

Mathematical Databases, Software and Tools (NIST)
NIST (National Institute of Standards & Technology) provides data and expertise on mathematical modeling, design of methods, and transformation of these methods into efficient numerical algorithms for high-performance computers, and the implementation of these methods into high-quality mathematical software.

Math Sci (Mathematical Sciences)
THE mathematical database - produced by the American Mathematical Society - with excellent coverage of mathematics, statistics, computer science and their applications in operations research, econometrics, ASC, Engineering, physics, biology, and other related fields. Check with the Library for passwords.

National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) databases
Provides access to over 80 NIST scientific and technical databases with a major emphasis on measurement methodology and the basic technology underlying standardization. Here are links to some of the main NIST database topics: Analytical Chemistry ~ Atomic and Molecular Physics ~ Biometrics ~ Biotechnology ~ Chemical and Crystal Structure ~ Chemical Kinetics ~ Chemistry ~ Environmental Data ~ Fluids ~ Materials Properties ~ Mathematical Databases, Software and Tools ~ Physics ~ Surface Data ~ Thermophysical & Thermochemical Each of these database sets is also described elsewhere on this page. Some databases may not be free.
