Technical Reports Collection

The Air Force Research Laboratory Library at Wright-Patt owns over a half million technical reports, including those from the Department of Defense, AGARD, NACA, NASA, CPIA and other government agencies, dealing with scientific, technological, military, and management topics. These are in the main AFIT/AFRL Library and in the Technical Reports Center.

The Technical Reports Center is located in Bldg 196, Room 1, on Monahan Way and is open Mon-Fri, 0900-1500. There are specific steps that must be followed in order to access the Technical Reports Center, please review our documentation about the process.

Most report numbers like: AFRL, WL, WRDC, or NASA must usually be identified by their DTIC (AD) or NASA (N) number before being retrieved.

To verify a report citation, or to check whether a report is in our collection, contact a Reference Librarian at 937-255-5511 x4238. If you want to try to search for it yourself, try one of these web based report databases, or review our Technical Reports Pathfinder.

Reports not available in our collection may be ordered by most registered library users. Use our online request form or email us.

We do not provide technical reports to other libraries or to personnel not working at Wright-Patterson AFB. Outside customers should contact the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC), or National Technical Information Service (NTIS), or contact their local library about obtaining these or other documents.
