Technical Reports Center Access Requirements

The Technical Reports Center (formerly called the Library Secure Collection or the Reports Vault) is in Bldg. 196, Rm. 1, on Monahan Way. It contains the current and archived technical reports produced at Wright-Patterson beginning with the earliest documented research. If the Technical Library (Bldg. 642, Rm. 1300) does not own or cannot obtain the report, it will be referred to the Secure Collection Librarian.

Since the paper reports contained in the Center are originals, they are not checked out. They can be read there, or, in most cases, a copy can be made or ordered from DTIC. Allow about 10 days turn-around time for DTIC orders, but be sure to specify if it is needed on a rush basis. We can use priority mail and get the document within a few days if needed.

For Unclassified/Limited reports

• Documents released only to government employees
• WPAFB ID will be held while viewing documents
• Copies made locally or ordered from DTIC, must be placed in a sealed envelope when leaving the Secure Collection Room
