About Human Subject Research

  • OUR SCOPE
The 711th Human Performance Wing centers its research and technology development around Airman and Guardians. Our labs investigate the physical, physiological and cognitive performance responses to a variety of mission related factors and environmental exposures. This includes altitude/hypobaric conditions, G-forces/acceleration forces, extreme environments/thermal burden, and stress/injury. We conduct this work across our four unique Core Research Areas (CRA):
    • Biotechnology for Health & Performance
    • Health & Performance Sensing & Assessment
    • Biomedical Impact of Air & Space
    • Cognitive & Physiological Performance
