Colonel GREG E. STEVENS

Col. Greg E. Stevens is the Director, Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate, and Commander, Detachment 4, Air Force Research Laboratory, Rome, New York. The Information Directorate is the Department of Air Force’s leading research organization for Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) and Cyber (+1) technologies. The Information Directorate’s mission is to explore, prototype and demonstrate high-impact, game-changing technologies that enable the Department of Air Force, Space Force, Partner Services, and Nation to maintain its superior technical advantage. Col. Stevens leads the Information Directorate by providing strategic and technical guidance to more than 1,216 military, civilians, and on-site contractors to develop and deliver C4I and cyber technologies and oversees the directorate’s annual budget of over 1.6 billion dollars.
 
Col. Stevens entered the Air Force in 1999, receiving his commission through the ROTC program at the University of St.Thomas, Minnesota. During his career, he has served in a variety of positions including Branch Chief, Test Manager, Deputy Program Manager, Program Manager, Division Chief, Acquisition Analyst, Team Chief, Materiel Leader, Senior Advisor for Defense Governance, and Deputy Director.
 
Prior to his current assignment, Colonel Greg Stevens was the Commander, Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Lockheed Martin Sunnyvale, California where he led strategic communication and delivery of products to the Agency, Customers, and OSD leadership and previously served as Deputy Director for Fully Networked Command, Control, and Communications (FNC3), Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering, the Pentagon, Virginia.
