Bogart addresses a crowd of friends, family, colleagues, enlisted military and civilians at the United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine, or USAFSAM, Change of Command Ceremony at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, July 2, 2024, while outgoing USAFSAM Commander Col. (Dr.) Tory Woodard and incoming USAFSAM Commander Col. (Dr.) Richard O. Speakman observe. Speakman took the reins from Woodard, who has served as USAFSAM’s Commander since 2021. Speakman, a medical doctor and chief flight surgeon who has logged more than 775 flight hours — including 147 combat hours — in 16 different aircraft, was commissioned into the Air Force in 2002.
