Brig. Gen. Wickert, commander, Air Force Research Laboratory, tours the Combat Laboratory (COLAB) site at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. COLABs are complete manufacturing and engineering labs built into 20-foot ISO shipping containers, serving as forward-deployed, localized, tactical maker spaces for the warfighter. Designed to expand frontline innovation capabilities, these mobile units allow teams to fabricate parts, repair equipment, and train personnel directly at the point of need.
