The Polymer and Responsive Materials Research Team is one of thirteen research teams within the Materials and Manufacturing Directorate of AFRL dedicated to maintaining technical competencies and providing subject matter expertise. Dedicated to researching a range of nanomaterials and novel polymers and polymer systems, this team executes fundamental and early applied research to explore far reaching, long-term to change the game for next-gen and next-next-gen warfighters. Powered by new techniques for materials discovery and strong ties to academia, the Polymer and Responsive Materials Research Team is responsible for over 100 peer reviewed publications per year in top tier journals, collaborations across the entire labs of AFRL, DoD, US Gov, and International Partners.
