  • AFRL engineer award winner proclaims a first for the U.S. Space Force

    Air Force Research Laboratory senior engineer Dr. Odell Reynolds received the 2019 Harold Brown award from Dr. Richard Joseph, the Chief Scientist of the Air Force, in a ceremony held on Dec. 16, 2020 at AFRL’s Starfire Optical Range (SOR) located on Kirtland Air Force Base.

  • AFRL New Mexico units identified to transfer to U.S. Space Force

    The Air Force Research Laboratory at Kirtland AFB recently received news that some of their missions will transfer to the U.S. Space Force (USSF). AFRL units readying for transfer include most of the Space Vehicles Directorate missions and the Directed Energy Directorate’s Electro-Optics Division.
